Man Man at the Vans show in Greenpoint →
A great night out with Andy including an all female arm wrestling contest, shuffleboard, and a seamless prog rock show featuring Man Man from Philadelphia. They were tight! Then a drink at Les Enfants Terribles where Pierre handed me the keys to Serena’s air conditioned and very convenient apartment half a block down. A night with no commute. A night with much to enjoy.

My father was a painter and a sculptor. He died a year ago and sweeping up after him fell mostly upon the shoulders of my dear sister Donna (Ital. for woman). In the process she came upon this rare piece of footage of my father at work in his studio. We ended up with many of these naked rubber effigies around the house in Woodstock and in the basement. Bir, Himachal Pradesh, India (April 16, 2011) — This is the weather. This is also how I feel. There is brightness and wind and black clouds. Raindrops and sunshine all at once. Thunder and rainbows. The willow tree in our courtyard is shaking its head at me. I don’t know what I’m doing but I feel like packing my suitcase might be a good idea.
